Just got back late last night from another long weekend away from home. Here are some of the trip highlights (in no particular order)!
Mexico
1). 4 days of sunny R&R with Matt and Amanda
2). Floating on down the lazy river at Los Palomas
3). A thorough (and salty) pummeling by some outlandishly choppy waves in the Sea of Cortez :-)
4) Spectacular seafood!
5). Chats about baby names and the arrival of Matt & Amanda's little bundle of joy due in January '08!
6). Planning our family trip to MN in August for Grandma's 85 birthday
7). Moonlit walks on the beach and late night card games

Reformed Baptist Youth Conference Highlights:
1). Lou Sloger's amazing teaching and testimony
2). 7 hr. drive from Phoenix to Riverside (and back again!) with a carload of hyper and sugar loaded teenagers from Grace
Covenant
3). Meeting more ARBCA faces (including the two Scottish Pastors Briggs and Elliot! ;-)
4). Getting to know Sarah my fellow chaperone (who accidentally drooled on my Bible during one of our particularly intense
reformed theology discussions)
5). A grand total of 12 hours of sleep for the whole trip (thank goodness for Starbucks AND that Nate or I didn't fall asleep driving)
6). Lots of sunshine, excited teenagers and crazy outdoor games
7). Beautiful weather, Cal Baptist's gorgeous campus and surprisingly, some pretty decent cafeteria food!
Sigh. Good times. Now, off to bed to catch up on much needed sleep!
